Honoring 250 Years of the United States and 150 Years of Colorado

In 2026, the United States celebrates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence—our nation’s Semiquincentennial. That same year, Colorado commemorates the 150th anniversary of becoming a state—its Sesquicentennial. Together, these milestone anniversaries—our “Sesquisemiquincentennial”—offer a unique opportunity to reflect on our shared ideals and unite as Coloradans and Americans.

The A250-CO150 Commission, established by the Colorado General Assembly through SB-2022, is leading efforts to ensure that all Coloradans have the opportunity to participate in this historic celebration. Beginning in fall 2025 and continuing throughout 2026, communities across Colorado will come together to create meaningful and memorable experiences that honor our past, celebrate our present, and look ahead to the future.

This website is dedicated to the Pikes Peak Wonders Region of Colorado and is managed by the area's Local Organizing Committee. As part of the statewide Sesquisemiquincentennial effort, this site serves as a hub for information, events, and community engagement specific to our part of the state. The Pikes Peak Wonders Region has a rich and diverse history, and we invite residents, visitors, and partners to join us in commemorating this once-in-a-generation celebration.
