Pikes Peak Region Resources
PeakRadar.com hosts a dedicated landing page for all America 250 – Colorado 150 events in El Paso, Teller, and Fremont counties. Local event organizers can post their activities to the community calendar and select “America 250/Colorado 150” as a secondary cateogry. Doing so ensures your event appears on this special landing page, making it easy for residents and visitors in the Pikes Peak Region to find and participate in the celebrations.
VisitCOS.com will feature a special blog dedicated to the America 250 – Colorado 150 celebrations, designed to help residents and visitors explore everything happening in the Pikes Peak Region and across the state. This page will highlight events, activities and experiences tied to the dual anniversaries, making it easy for the public to discover, plan and participate in the statewide commemoration.
The A250|CO150 Commission is creating Stories in the Sky, a magnificent drone show that will travel the state in 2025 and throughout 2026. The drone show will be featured at the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo on July 16, 2026. Get your tickets once they go on sale!

The official website for the America 250 – Colorado 150 Celebration is designed to support event organizers across the Pikes Peak Region by offering a one-stop resource for the dual anniversary of 250 years of U.S. independence and 150 years of Colorado statehood. You’ll find background information on the commemoration, practical tools to get involved, a statewide events calendar you can submit to and downloadable materials that will help you align your local celebration with the broader statewide theme.
The 250/150 Events calendar on Colorado.com is the official hub for listing and discovering celebrations throughout the state tied to the America 250 – Colorado 150 commemoration. It allows event organizers from across the Pikes Peak Region to submit their happenings for broad visibility and lets attendees explore a wide variety of activities statewide.
If you are ready to submit your event now, we recommend you add it to PeakRadar.com (if the event is in El Paso, Teller or Fremont county) AND add it to the state's calendar. Soon, events added to the PeakRadar.com calendar will automatically be added to the state calendar. If your event is not in one of these three counties, please add it to the state calendar.
The America 250 - Colorado 150 Commission is excited to share the commemoration logo with you for no cost, and they hope to see it featured in all corners of Colorado! Use the logo to identify new events as part of the commemoration and co-branding your existing events.

A series of nearly 150 community drone shows lwill ight up Colorado's skies from September 2025 through December 2026, creating unforgettable moments for millions of Coloradans and visitors alike. Check out the calendar - you'll want to see it more than once!
Select events throughout Colorado have been selected to include the Stories in the Sky drone show. The vendor has graciously offered discount pricing for additional drone shows for communities/events that would like to purchase the show.
The Commission is launching a series of free mobile-exclusive digital passports that allow visitors and locals to check in at various Colorado Businesses. You could be one of them! Learn more and fill out the Business Interest Form to be considered for inclusion in one of the themed passports.

On July 4, 2026, the United States will mark its 250th anniversary—the Semiquincentennial—of the Declaration of Independence.
America250 is a nonpartisan initiative working to engage every American in commemorating this milestone. Their mission is to inspire Americans to “reflect on our past, strengthen our love of country, and renew our commitment to the ideals of democracy” through nationwide programs that “educate, engage, and unite us as a nation.”
